Thomas is a highly experienced and results-driven logistics and supply chain professional with over 18 years of progressive experience spanning logistics operations, procurement, distribution, warehouse and inventory management, office administration, and support services. Proven track record of delivering operational efficiency and cost-effective solutions across both international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the private sector, including the telecommunications, mining, and public health industries.
Demonstrated expertise in leading logistics, distribution and procurement operations to meet dynamic organizational needs, enhance cost efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Skilled in cross-functional team management, development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), procurement planning, budget preparation and control, asset management, vendor coordination, and capacity building across supply chain functions.
Notable experience includes serving as Logistics Supervisor at Comium SL Telecoms (2007–2014), overseeing warehouse and logistics operations in Liberia; Fuel Manager at Sierra Mineral Holdings Limited (SMHL-Vimetco, 2013–2015) in the mining sector; and key leadership roles at eHealth Africa (2015–2019), an international NGO, where roles included Logistics Lead for the Ebola Clinical Trial, Facilities and Admin Manager, and Deputy Country Operations Manager overseeing Procurement, Logistics and Admin Activities. In these capacities, contributed significantly to emergency response logistics, infrastructure support, and cross-border operations coordination. He has also served in senior leadership roles at the National Medical Supplies Agency (NMSA), first as National Logistics Manager (2019–2022), overseeing nationwide distribution, warehousing, and inventory management. Since 2022, he has been the Director of Procurement, leading procurement strategy, contract management, and compliance with national and donor regulations—driving efficiency, transparency, and value for money in public health supply chains.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), Ghana. He also holds certifications in Procurement Fraud Audit and Investigations and Contract Management, with a strong focus on strategic procurement, contract oversight, and sustainable supply chain practices.
