Management Information Systems Supervisor/Manager
Bilal Mohamed Lamin Turay is our agency’s Management Information Systems Supervisor/Manager, and he uses his broad IT knowledge to push system improvements and operational efficiency. Bilal has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Diploma in Data Processing and Information Technology from Njala University School of Technology, giving him a strong foundation in both academic and practical elements of information technology.
In addition to his academic credentials, Bilal has a diploma in Warehousing and Supply Chain Management from the Africa School of Project Management in Nairobi, Kenya, which rounds out his skill set. With over five years of expertise in IT and the health sector, Bilal has been essential in improving the agency’s Logistics Management Information System (LMIS), resulting in significant breakthroughs and optimizations.
Bilal’s tremendous love for technology and commitment to continual improvement have made him an invaluable member of the team. His knowledge not only guarantees that our information systems are effective and dependable, but it also helps us achieve our aim of providing great service and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities at NMSA:
1. Manages the Agency’s major inventory tool (mSupply).
2. Manage inventories and collect logistics data across all mSupply facilities.
3. Ensure the computerized LMIS system in warehouses, district stores, and hospitals is completely operational.
4. Monitor the system’s daily consumption.
5. Increase the capability of MIS and other workers.
6. Manage electronic, logistical, and supply transactions across many facilities.
7. Consolidating data from many LMIS aspects around the country to create reports.
8. Contribute to designing and configuring new LMIS systems and features.
