ACC ENGAGES NMSA STAFF ON ASSET DECLARATION PROCESS

NMSA Public Relations
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) engaged staff of the National Medical Supplies Agency (NMSA) on the Commission’s online assets declaration process. The engagement was aimed at enhancing compliance with the assets declaration requirements among public servants in Sierra Leone.
The session brought together staff members on Grade 7 and above, as well as all personnel within the Finance and Procurement Departments, who are required by law to declare their assets. The training provided practical guidance on the online declaration process and sought to ensure that NMSA staff comply with the statutory deadline of 20th July 2026 for the submission of assets declarations.
The requirement for public officers to declare their assets is provided for under the Anti-Corruption Act, 2008 (as amended in 2019), particularly Section 119, which mandates specified public officers to declare their income, assets, and liabilities to the ACC. The Act further empowers the Commission to verify declarations and take appropriate action against non-compliant officers.

ACC officials emphasized that public servants who fail to meet the declaration deadline may face administrative sanctions, including the withholding of salaries and other disciplinary measures in accordance with the law.
The engagement with NMSA staff therefore forms part of the Commission’s broader efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and compliance within public institutions.
The National Medical Supplies Agency remains committed to upholding the principles of integrity and good governance and encourages all eligible staff to complete their declarations within the stipulated timeframe.
