Alahji Murtada M. Sesay

Mr Murtada Sesay is the immediate President West African Post Graduate College of Pharmacists, Past President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Sierra Leone, and Past President, Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association.

He studied and qualified as a Pharmacist (BPharm – Hons.) from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

Mr Sesay also has a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis (University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland), a Master’s Degree in International Management (University of Phoenix, Arizona, USA), and a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Care in Developing Countries (Boston University School of Public Health)

He has wide international public health practice exposure, with over three decades of cumulative work experience in both the private and public sector, including over twenty years with multiple UN Agencies (WHO, UNICEF and UNOPS) in Sierra Leone, his home country, Switzerland, Bangladesh, India and several African countries as a consultant.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) and currently Chairman, Board of Directors, National Medical Supplies Agency, Sierra Leone.
